Former Guernsey Bailiff Sir Graham Dorey dies aged 82

Former Bailiff of Guernsey Sir Graham Dorey has died aged 82.
Sir Graham was the civic and judicial head of the island, between 1992 and 1999.
Current bailiff Sir Richard Collas, called for the Guernsey flag to be flown at half-mast on all States buildings in tribute to Sir Graham.
He said his predecessor was "always fair-minded and listened to counsel with great patience" and that he took a keen interest in the arts.
Guernsey's longest servicing States member, Deputy Mary Lowe said: "Sad news Sir Graham Dorey, who was Bailiff when I was first elected into the States of Guernsey, has died. RIP Sir Graham."
Sir Richard said he remembers Sir Graham as a gentle man and a true gentleman, who loved the island.
He said: "His strength of spirit was often masked by a warm and kindly manner which made him popular with islanders when he was Bailiff.
"He was a man of the highest integrity, which is always the first quality to look for in a judge and a Bailiff."
