Dover benches 'designed to be uncomfortable'

Benches installed in the centre of Dover in Kent have been deliberately designed to be uncomfortable, council bosses have admitted.

Dover Town Council says it hopes the wave-shaped benches will deter "extended sitting" by undesirables, but the idea has sparked a storm of objections.
