New radiotherapy treatment 'easier' for Welsh patients

Cancer patients who currently have to travel to England for cutting-edge radiotherapy treatment will be able to get it in Wales in future.

A £4m radiotherapy machine, which can target parts of the body more accurately, has been installed at the Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff.

The new technology is the first of its kind in Wales and will treat thousands of patients every year.

But critics say one machine is not enough.
