Norwich's old fire station homes to new free school

One of the country's first free schools to concentrate on teaching maths and science has moved into Norwich's old fire station.

The Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form is housed in the city's old fire station, a grade two listed building which has been converted at a cost of more than £3m.

Principal Dr Mark Evans hopes 400 students will eventually study at the school which has opened with 70 pupils.
