San Bernardino shootings: What does a #MuslimApartment look like?
- Published
Muslims on social media have reacted with wit and humour to reporters broadcasting live on television from the home of the couple behind the mass shooting in San Bernardino.
The hashtag #MuslimApartment begun after television reporters were seen in the home of Syed Rizwan Farooq and Tafsheen Malik, after the landlord allowed access.
Reporters picked through family photos, children's toys and books, at times holding them up in front of the camera, searching for clues as to the couple's motives.
Muslim Twitter users responded by posting pictures of items in their own homes. Noor Mir began the hashtag with this snap of her apartment.
The trend began on Saturday evening and has generated over 17,000 tweets.
