Properties in Skeldergate in York have been evacuated following heavy flooding
Hundreds more people have been evacuated as flooding continues to sweep across the north of England.
Residents in West and North Yorkshire and Lancashire were rescued from their homes on Saturday and thousands were left without power.
The Environment Agency has 24 severe flood warnings in place for Yorkshire, indicating there is a danger to life in those areas.
Up to 3,500 properties nears the Rivers Ouse and Foss in York are at risk.
Businesses and homes in Leeds, Hebden Bridge, Sowerby Bridge and Greater Manchester are also affected.
Up to 1,000 homes have been flooded in Leeds and roads closed around the city
In York, members of a mountain rescue team went house-to-house checking on residents
Crews helped to rescue an elderly couple in the Huntington Road area
Members of the Army and rescue teams have been deployed to York city centre
It comes as scores of flood alerts and warnings remain in place for England, Wales and Scotland
