Turkey: Anti-government protesters clash with police

Riot police in Turkey have fired water cannon and plastic bullets to break up an anti-government demonstration in Istanbul's Taksim Square.

The protests have been sparked by a high-level bribery and corruption investigation involving close government allies.

Thousands of pro-government supporters have greeted the Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, at Istanbul's main airport.
