Elfyn Evans is being hailed as a star in the making in the world of motorsport after winning his first ever World Rally stage.

The driver from Dolgellau, Gwynedd, finished fourth overall at the 2014 Rally of Germany, the ninth round of the World Rally Championships.

He is the first Welshman to win a World Rally stage since his father Gwyndaf in 1993.

Former World Rally commentator Greg Strange told BBC Radio Wales that Elfyn Evans had great potential.
