Hail Hail Rock 'n' Roll

Are the apostrophes correct there? I think so. Anyway someone will tell me I'm sure... March is the hailiest (?) month of the year apparently so watch out. Spring is the time for more hail stones but they're only the size of peas so we don't run for cover quite so much. Thought you'd be interested. Or maybe not.

Enjoyed Ruby Wax yesterday. I've interviewed her before and she is always engaging, funny and outspoken. But she has obviously hit on a rich seam now with her talks and book on the mind-the reaction was overwhelmingly positive and grateful. What she's done (as she mentioned) is to make sure it is a book for everyone who's interested in their own mind, which is most of us I'd have thought. Today we have the fantastically successful Emma Bridgewater on the show. Sometimes she's called a potter which isn't really correct-ceramics manufacturer is closer to the truth. Her pottery business is thriving and her dotty mugs, heart-shaped plates and starry jugs seem to be most large stores. It is cream coloured earthenware (as you know) and all from Stoke-on-Trent, the pottery heartland of the UK. Her 'Toast and Marmalade and Other Stories' is part autobiography, part recipe book and part photo album. She has a good story to tell!

And how about BIG BANG oldies after the momentous (and difficult to fully comprehend) news yesterday. Cosmic inflation indeed!  BBC News reports Researchers believe they have found the signal left in the sky by the super-rapid expansion of space that must have occurred just fractions of a second after everything came into being. So let's seranade this news with some fine old tunes.

Onwards...
