The Glasgow-based elec-trio have seen a meteoric rise, touring in countries all over the world from the USA to Japan.
Formed in 2011, the group consists of Lauren Mayberry (vocals), Iain Cook (synths) and Martin Doherty (synths). They rose to prominence after coming fifth in the BBC’s Sound of 2013 poll, and releasing their first EP Recover the same year.
Their debut long player, The Bones of What You Believe, with it’s neon-tinged pop and catchy hooks, was met with huge commercial and critical success.
Chrvches will be returning to T in the Park for the second year in a row, after their lauded performance on the Transmission Stage in 2013.
