Formed in London in 2010, Bastille originally began as the solo project of singer-songwriter Dan Smith, but quickly expanded into a four piece consisting of Smith, Chris Wood, William Farquarson and Kyle Simmons.
Signed to Virgin Records, their debut single “Overjoyed” was released in 2012 and their debut LP “Bad Blood” the following year. The album was met with huge commercial success, spending three weeks atop the charts and going certified platinum in the UK.
Bastille spent much of the 2013 working on their second album, but are taking some well deserved time out to rock the T in the Park audience.
