In addition to a personal prize, the winner and two highly commended entries are awarded £1,000 for a charity of their choice. Fawssett has chosen to donate her charity prize to The Feast, a charity group based in Birmingham which works to promote community cohesion between Christian and Muslim young people.

The awards were judged by photographer Don McCullin, photo journalist Hazel Thompson, the Reverend Dr David Cornick and Paresh Solanki, representing the Inter Faith Network.

Sian Davies's highly commended picture was taken on Huntington Beach, California. The judges felt there was a quirkiness and theatrical element to this image that made it stand out. Davies nominated Integrate Bristol, to receive her charity prize. This charity helps with the integration of young people and children who have arrived from other countries and cultures.
