Ukrainian army makes "very public display of force"

The Ukrainian army has erected a checkpoint about 40km away from the town of Sloviansk where pro-Russian protesters have taken over several government buildings.

Soldiers with tanks and helicopters are patrolling near the town of Izyum.

BBC correspondent Daniel Sandford said the army had, "decided to make a very public display of force" - albeit in a different region.
