Artist's impression of the Bristol Arena

After plans were thrown out for Bristol's proposed arena over a lack of car parking and insufficient public transport, a raft of measures have been put forward to city planners.

A new report shows the city's three park-and-ride sites will be used, that extra buses will be laid on, and the number of cycle spaces increased.

And it also promises a residents' parking scheme for nearby streets to alleviate congestion fears.

  10. M5 petrol price signs 'need to show off-motorway garages'

    Petrol pump

You've been telling us what you think about the new petrol prices signs on the M5.

Michael Clarke says for effective competition they should show prices not just at motorway service stations but at filling stations just off motorway junctions.

"For example the hypermarket at Cribbs Causeway which involves no more of a detour from the motorway than does the nearby M5 Gordano Services but offers a saving of around 15 pence a litre."

  11. Will new signs bring an end to high fuel prices on the motorway?

Fuel signs to be used on M5

Here's what the new signs on the M5 - which will show how much it will cost to fill up at service stations - will look like.

While most supermarkets are charging less than £1 a litre the prices on the motorway are nearer £1.20.

Five signs have been put on the M5 southbound, including one near Gordano, as part of a trial until the end of 2017.

Do you think this is a good idea or will it put you off buying petrol or diesel on the motorway. Join the debate on Facebook, Twitter or by email.
