  2. 'Terror attacks serve as Euro reminder'

    Football

Terror attacks in Belgium are a reminder of the "very high level of security" needed at Euro 2016 this summer, says France's interior minister Bernard Cazeneuve.

At least 31 people were killed by Tuesday's explosions at Brussels airport and a city metro station.

Cazeneuve said: "The events in Brussels remind us of the very high level of security which is necessary to ensure Euro 2016 is successful.

"Euro 2016 should be a celebration but collective security is an obligation for everyone alongside the government."

  3. Pakistan need 58 to win

    Cricket

Earlier on it appears I might have inadvertently jinxed Pakistan and Sharjeel Khan - just after I wrote about how well he was doing, he was gone. Bowled having made a very entertaining 47 from 25 balls.

Now, chasing New Zealand's target of 181, Sharjeel's side are 123-4. With just over five overs left they need to score 58 more...

  4. Bouhanni claims second Volta stage

    Cycling

"I wasn't in an ideal position but I made a real effort to get into position with 1.5km to go," Bouhanni said.

"My team-mates did really well to launch me. I'm hoping to get a third win after the mountains."

Gianni Meersman finished second on the 178km run from Mataro to Olot, with Philippe Gilbert in third.

Tomorrow's stage is where it starts to get really interesting though - out towards the Pyrenees, north from Girona. Will Froomey stretch his legs?

  5. Bouhanni claims second Volta stage

    Cycling

Nacer Bouhanni claims his second successive stage win at the Volta a Catalunya and preserves his overall lead.

Swift's fellow Britons Chris Froome and Geraint Thomas are also racing for Team Sky at the seven-day event in northern Spain.

  7. Allen relishes Manic experience

    Football

Earlier on (12:42 GMT) we told you that Manic Street Preachers are set to release the official anthem for Wales' appearance at Euro 2016.

The song is called Together Stronger (C'mon Wales) and Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen loved the experience.

"That was brilliant," says Allen. "I'm a big fan of the Manics and their music so to get the chance to meet them and be part of the song with them was incredible really.

"I think it's a sign of how much all this has meant to everyone in Wales."
