The first confirmed sighting of a basking shark off Cornwall this year has been made in Mounts Bay.
Abi Crosby, from the Cornwall Wildlife Trust, said the moment, captured by Marine Discovery Penzance is earlier than normal. "We have had sharks sighted in the winter months... it's not unheard of, but it is quite rare so very exciting to hear [of] this early sighting in April."

A woman, whose mother uses St Kilda's but wants to remain anonymous, said "it's all up in the air" and "we do not know where she will be moved".

Before the announcement, Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust said the building was "in a very poor condition" and was "no longer fit for purpose", and it would work with residents and families to find alternative accommodation.

Witness appeal after shop robbed at knifepoint

Police investigating a knifepoint robbery at a shop in Seaton have appealed for witnesses.
A man took about £175 from Woodfield Stores and Video, in Primrose Way after threatening the cashier with a knife on Friday 1 April. The staff member was unhurt but left shaken, police said.
The suspect was described as white, in his 20s, about 5ft 10ins to 5ft 11ins tall, with a South East accent. He was wearing a black ski mask, a green three-quarter length parka jacket with fur around the hood, and dark trainers with white edging.

First basking shark to visit Cornwall this year spotted in Mounts Bay
Tuesday's 2-0 win over Chester put the Gulls three points clear of the drop zone, having been 12 points from safety less then two months ago.
"It is a bit harder not to get carried away when you start reading and hearing nice things about yourself," he said. "But they also realise there's a job to be done and we haven't done it yet."

Veterans' epic gig row hampered by bad weather and strong winds

An epic gig row by a group of forces veterans around Cornwall has been hampered by bad weather.
The Help For Heroes crew are on their way to the Isles of Scilly after building the H4H Valiant, at the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth.
They were due to row from Porthleven to Penzance today in their eight-stage row, but couldn't set off because of 30-knot winds.
After they reach the islands - expected to be around mid-April - they're due to take part in the World Pilot Gig Championships.
