The moon is ‘lemon-shaped’

Scientists have discovered the moon's true shape: it's slightly flattened, with a bulge to one side, almost like a lemon. US researchers say the moon's own spin and the tidal tug of the Earth are the cause. Ian Garrick-Bethell, from the University of California in Santa Cruz, begins by describing the moon’s origin.
