Is Calvin Harris the biggest name DJ on the planet? His private jet is certainly packed with the biggest selection of dancefloor destroyers this side of Dumfries.

And when those bangers are unleashed on the biggest, most up for it crowd in the Northern hemisphere - you know you're onto something special. BOOM!

Discovered on a social networking site by American DJ and producer Tommie Sunshine, Harris’ first album I Created Disco was released in 2007, spawning the massive hits “Acceptable in the 80s” and “The Girls”. The following year saw him cement his reputation as a dependable gun-for-hire producer when his collaboration with Dizzee Rascal, the Summer anthem “Dance wiv Me”, was nominated for the BRIT Award for Best British Single and the Ivor Novello Awards for Best Contemporary Song.

This led to Calvin making tunes with Rita Ora, Rihanna, Sophie Ellis Bextor and Pitbull, to name a few.

And then there is the little matter of being in the right place at the right time when America suddenly got into dance music in a big way...Las Vegas, Nevada is the US version of Ibiza, and is something of a second home for the globe-trotting boy from Dumfries. Elvis has been replaced with glowsticks...
