MPs call for Rotherham abuse scandal resignations

Staff implicated in the failures at Rotherham children services have no place working in the profession and should consider their positions, two MPs have said.

Former Children's Minister Tim Loughton told BBC Newsnight that too often failing employees did not take responsibility for their actions, and Rotherham MP Sarah Champion said that she was concerned that staff could still be working with vulnerable children.

An investigation found at least 1,400 children in the town were sexually exploited between 1997 and 2013.
