House-to-house inquiries are taking place in Milton Keynes after a woman was raped, external on 4 April.
The woman in her 30s came forward yesterday. She had been walking in Conniburrow Boulevard from Bradwell Common towards Downs Barn at about 04:00.
She walked through an alleyway near a park off Yarrow Place when she noticed a man following her. He then assaulted and raped her in the open grassed area between the houses located between Yarrow Place, Conniburrow Boulevard and Ramsons Avenue before fleeing.

A Luton civil engineer accused of killing a man with a single punch believed he was about to be "hit first", a court has heard.
Amazon employee Tomas Juska was hit with an upper-cut punch outside Cookies nightclub in Dunstable by Cortney Batchelor, Luton Crown Court heard.

Mr Batchelor, 22, of Paisley Close, Luton, denies manslaughter, claiming he had acted in self defence after he was confronted by Mr Juska. The case continues.
An unregistered tipper truck has been crushed today, external after it was seized by Hertsmere Borough Council.

They were bailed by police whilst the council continues its investigation into a number of alleged offences.

A 15-year-old girl is in a serous but stable condition after being hit by a bus, external in High Wycombe this morning.
Image source, GoogleThe girl was taken to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford with a head injury after being hit by the single decker bus in Marlow Hill, opposite Wycombe High School, at 08:00.
PC Chris Fallon said: "I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident who has not yet contacted police, or anyone who saw the bus or the pedestrian prior to the collision taking place."

An application to get £5m worth of lottery money has been submitted by the Trustees of the Bucks County Museum in Aylesbury, external.

The bid will be supplemented by £1m worth of local fundraising and grants.

A Luton man has been jailed for possessing a handgun after it was found by two workmen.
Image source, Bedfordshire PoliceThey'd come to fix a boiler at Dewsbury Road last month and discovered a bag containing a gun and silencer, so called police.
Detectives later found DNA matching that of David Cooper, who lived there. The 51-year-old was given a five-year prison sentence after admitting possessing a firearm without a licence at Luton Crown Court.

Four people arrested during demonstrations in High Wycombe, external on Saturday have been released on police bail.
A 21-year-old man from Brighton was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage. Two 17-year-old boys and an 18-year-old man, all from High Wycombe, were arrested on suspicion of public order offences.
The arrests came at a planned demonstration by the English Defence League and counter protests in Wycombe.

A fence has been put up on the National Trust's Ashridge Estate, external after it was announced a charge is to be introduced for people to see the bluebells during the next bank holiday.

It will also reduce the amount of damage to the bluebells.

A newly updated webcam on the highest tower block in Aylesbury, external is currently broadcasting an Easter egg surprise.

The camera is part of the Aylesbury Peregrine Project and people have viewed the images from afar afield as Japan and Australia.
It will turn cloudier through this afternoon, with scattered showers developing, perhaps turning heavy and thundery.

£3.5m worth of land is being given to the National Badminton Centre, external in Loughton from Milton Keynes Council.
Image source, Getty ImagesThe land is to be used to expand and redevelop its existing facilities after a deal to relocate the centre to the National Bowl fell through.
The land must be used for development of national, amateur and competitive sport and not turned into a commercial leisure centre, according to restrictions placed on the deal.
The council says it wants to support "major and ambitious projects" in the town, and that it's in keeping with its desire to be seen as an international sporting city.

A cordon has been put in place at a property in Baldock after reports of an unknown substance being found in the loft.

A spokeswoman says tests will be carried out to establish what the substance is.

Tesco chief executive Dave Lewis says the company has "regained competitiveness in the UK".
Tesco boss on sales growth: 'We've listened to our customers'
It comes after the Hertfordshire-based company announced a pre-tax profit of £162m for the past year - compared to a £6.4bn loss a year ago.
Mr Lewis said: "Our balance sheet is stronger and we are making good progress in rebuilding trust in Tesco and our investment case."

The derby between Aylesbury FC and Aylesbury United was postponed for a fifth time last night.
The game, dubbed the "El Quackico" derby as Aylesbury United are nicknamed the Ducks, was called off due to a waterlogged pitch. That's the fourth weather postponement - the other time was due to a half-time floodlight failure last month.
The fixture has been rescheduled for Thursday evening, with a 19:45 kick-off at Haywood Way.

Eighty years ago today Luton legend Joe Payne , externalmade history by scoring 10 goals in one game against Bristol Rovers.
The match at Kenilworth Road was his debut as a centre-forward. It ended Luton 12-0 Bristol Rovers.
Payne's achievement has yet to be matched.
