Here Be Dragons

Las Vegas-based indie rockers Imagine Dragons formed in Provo, Utah in 2009.

The band's four members, Ben McKee (bassist), Wayne Sermon (guitarist), Dan Reynolds (vocalist) and Dan Platzman (drummer) started out played four nights a week at O'Shea's on the Las Vegas Strip, playing half covers and half original material. They independently released three EPs, and toured relentlessly, earning a grassroots following.

In 2012 the band made their major label debut with the release of their ‘Continued Silence’ EP, which included the breakthrough single “It’s Time”. The song earned the group a 2012 MTV VMA nomination for “Best Rock Video.”
Their full-length debut, ‘Night Visions arrived in Sept 2012. NME named it the #26 best-selling album of the year in the UK

Following an extensive world-wide tour in support of the album, the band returned to the studio to record their next LP. Reynolds stated to music magazine Rolling Stone that the next album will be "different" from Night Visions, and that the band intends the album to be "stripped back quite a bit".

Their hit single “Radioactive” was named Rolling Stone Magazine’s “biggest rock of the year” and has to date been viewed 162 million times on YouTube.
