... Sings Prince

In celebration of Prince's prolific songwriting talent, this is a compilation of performances of songs written by Prince, plus footage of Prince on Top of the Pops in 1997.

With the untimely passing of music superstar Prince, and in recognition and celebration of his prolific songwriting talent, this is a compilation of performances from the BBC archive of songs written by Prince but made famous by other artists.

Featuring Sinead O'Connor on Top of the Pops in 1990 performing Nothing Compares to U, American girl group the Bangles performing their Prince-penned smash Manic Monday in 1986 and a 20-year-old Alicia Keys on Later with Jools Holland in 2001 performing Prince's How Come You Don't Call Me Anymore? No compilation of Prince songs would be complete without Chaka Khan belting out I Feel For You. Plus the unique collaboration of Art of Noise and Tom Jones performing the iconic Prince hit Kiss on Top of the Pops, and a performance of The Holy River by the Purple One himself on Top of Pops in 1997.
