16 year-old pianist Martin James Bartlett has twice been a finalist in the BBC Young Musician of the Year contest, and he won this year’s competition with his remarkable keyboard talents.

Pharrell Williams

Performer and producer extraordinaire Pharrell Williams gave an in-depth interview to Radio 1’s Zane Lowe earlier in 2014 and also headlined the station’s Big Weekend in Glasgow this May.

Emeli Sande

Lauren Laverne

Gareth Malone

Jaz Dhami

Birmingham bhangra star Jaz Dhami, named Best Newcomer at the 2009 UK Asian Music Awards, performed live as part of BBC Asian Network’s Summer Of Melas 2013.

Paloma Faith

Paloma Faith gave two very different performances for the BBC this summer: a classical collaboration at the Royal Albert Hall as part of BBC Proms 2014, followed by a pop concert at Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park.

Chrissie Hynde

Pretenders frontwoman Chrissie Hynde performed with the Pet Shop Boys at BBC Proms 2014, backed by the BBC Concert Orchestra. Later in the year she joined the line-up at BBC Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park.
