Fire in Cardiff's famous 'Chip Alley'

People on a night out in Cardiff were kept away from one of its most famous streets as fire fighters dealt with a chip shop fire.
Police cordoned off part of Caroline Street - also known as Chip Alley - as fire crews put out the blaze, which started at about 21:30 BST on Saturday.
Firefighters from Cardiff Central, Roath, Ely and Barry stations were called to deal with the fire, which started in a chip cooking range.
Nobody was injured.
South Wales Fire Service said it was called to the Red Onion chip shop at 21.34.
"The fire involved the cooking range inside the three storey building," said a fire service spokesperson.
"Crews searched the first and second floors checking for fire spread and used ventilation fans to clear the smoke."
The fire was out and the cordon removed by 22:35 BST.
