Charlie Hebdo: Niger churches destroyed in protest

Authorities in Niger say more than 40 churches were burned down during two days of protests over the publication of a Prophet Muhammad cartoon by the French satirical magazine, Charlie Hebdo.

Ten people died and more than 170 were injured during rioting in the the capital Niamey and the city of Zinder.

The country's government has declared three days of morning for those killed during the riots.
