Can Mary Rose remains help modern medicine?

Almost 500 years after it sank and 30 years after it was raised from the seabed, Henry VIII's flagship, the Mary Rose, is playing a new role - in modern medicine.

The remains of the sailors who were on board are being analysed as part of a study into bone disease.

Researchers hope their findings will lead to a greater understanding of the historical causes of conditions like rickets, and help doctors diagnose patients in the future.
