    Dad pushing buggy

A survey of new fathers by Healthwatch Suffolk has found more than three quarters didn't feel involved with the maternity process.

    Kate Williams

Prospects for peregrine falcons nesting at The Mill in Ipswich look good this year, but why are they so rare in Suffolk?

    Peregrine falcons hunting

Ornithologist David Lowe, who has helped with the nest box project in Ipswich, said: "Peregrines' natural nest site requirement is a ledge on a high, step cliff - there aren’t any of those in Suffolk!

"Peregrines were scarce throughout the country until recent years, because of poisoning through certain insecticides. Once this had been appreciated, and the relevant sprays were banned, a comeback commenced."

    Tim Fenton

Town striker Freddie Sears, who made the move from the Community Stadium to Portman Road himself a year ago, believes the midfielder is ready for Championship football.

"He's done really well since going to Colchester," Sears said. "I'm sure, sooner or later, George will be playing at a higher level."
