The captain who rescued 562 migrants
The captain of the Italian navy boat that rescued 562 people in the Mediterranean has described how he tried to calm the migrants to prevent the boat from capsizing.
The trawler overturned apparently as a result of people on board rushing to one side after spotting a rescue ship, and five were found dead.
"We did all that's possible to be done," Francesco Iavazzo told the Today programme.
