Beards: a breeding ground for 'good bugs'
Are you pogonophobic? That would mean you have a persistent fear of beards. Perhaps you think they indicate a lack of hygiene. However, rather than being a sign of scruffiness, beards actually have natural antibiotic qualities. Microbiologist Dr Adam Roberts is from University College London. He describes the flora and fauna found in a typical man's beard.
