'Putin is corrupt', says US Treasury

A BBC investigation has been looking at Vladimir Putin's private finances and heard from those who say they have inside knowledge of his secret fortune.

The US treasury told Panorama that it considers Mr Putin to be corrupt.

His spokesman told the BBC that "none of these questions or issues needs to be answered, as they are pure fiction".
