Drugs raid police hit three addresses in clampdown

Drugs raids have been carried out across Gainsborough today with two people arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
Houses on Burton Street, Linden Terrace and Waterworks Street were raided by specialist officers and the Lincolnshire Police dog section.

These pictures were taken at St Laurence's church in Surfleet but almost 30 other churches are also taking part.
Doctors' strike: All routine activity postponed at Grimsby and Scunthorpe hospitals
The trust that runs Scunthorpe and Grimsby hospitals says it will "stand down routine activity" if tomorrow's doctors' strike goes ahead.
Medical director Lawrence Roberts said “It is regrettable that we have had to stand down routine activity but we have to prioritise the safety of our patients and that means those on the wards and those attending as an emergency.

Girl seriously injured in accident near school

More now on the incident in Bottesford - police are telling us an 11-year-old girl is in a serious condition after being hit by a car.
Officers say it happened at around 15.30 this afternoon on Valley View Drive - not far from Bottesford Junior school (pictured).

The victim's described as being in a "poorly" condition and it being airlifted to hospital in the air ambulance.

Doctors' strike: 745 appointments cancelled

Managers at the trust which runs some of the county's hospitals say they're making plans to deal with a two-day doctors' strike which is planned for tomorrow.
United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust runs sites in Lincoln, Boston and Grantham and says 18 operations and 745 appointments have been affected.
We'll bring you details on how Grimsby and Scunthorpe hospitals are affected as we get them.

A 102-year-old Grimsby woman has met her hero today as part of her birthday celebrations.
Kay Seaton met 88-year-old Brenda Fisher, who's also from Grimsby, and was the first woman in the world to swim the Channel back in 1951.
