Thanks to all for reminding us that above the clouds the sky is always blue!

Flamingo Land Zoo says it's worried that plans to frack in North Yorkshire could harm its animals. 

The theme park's written to the County Council about plans to extract shale gas in Ryedale near Kirby Misperton. 

Developer Third Energy says the park's concerns seem to be a "misconception" of how water would be re-used at the site.

The search is on for York's lost amphitheatre, a monument where gladiators fought, rebels were executed and soldiers of the VI Legion were addressed by their Emperor. And you can get involved:

The A64 Westborough in Scarborough is currently closed and there's queuing traffic in both directions at the A165 Northway junction, because of an accident.

Congestion on A165 Valley Bridge Road to the Somerset Terrace junction and to the B1364 Victoria Road junction.  

People are being asked what they think to plans for what could be the world's biggest offshore wind farm off the Yorkshire coast.

If built to its full capacity, it's claimed it could power over two million UK homes.

The latest consultation is for the Hornsea Project Three offshore wind farm. 

It would be located about 75 miles off the coast in an area allocated for wind farm development.

Hornsea Project One, which has already been approved, is expected to be operational in 2020 and will become the world's largest offshore wind farm.

A decision on Hornsea Project Two is due to be made by the government next month.

Recently I was walking through York and saw a man with a big cardboard sign saying "Help Me Write A Play".

I assumed Tim Kelly (who hates being called Tim) was collecting money to help him finance his project, but I was wrong - he was trying to contact other Tims to explore the way names can define our personalities.

I was so intrigued I invited him onto BBC Radio York where he told me he ended up being contacted by 1,200 other Tims.

Fewer than 20% of people have chosen to vote in council elections in some areas of England over the past four years, BBC News analysis of voting patterns has shown.

Why are people turning their back on local elections and how can they be drawn back to the ballot box?

There were 41 out of about 2,500 wards in England where not even a fifth of the electorate turned out to choose a local councillor in 2012. This was the last time the seats being contested on 5 May this year were elected.

The Electoral Reform Society said this amounted to "serious democratic deficit" and it is vital people vote and hold authorities to account.

So how does the country solve a problem like low turnout? BBC News has been looking at some of the options.

Staying dry and feeling mild. Hooray! But will it last?

We've been talking about the crisis in dairy farming this morning, with new figures showing North Yorkshire's dairy farmers are finding it even harder to make ends meet. 

The Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board says 90% are failing to cover their costs. Last year, only 10% were in that situation.
