  5. Prime minister attacks 'untrue' Leave claims

David Cameron has urged people not to vote in the EU referendum on the basis of what he said were "completely untrue" claims from the Leave campaign.

The PM, speaking in Milton Keynes, dismissed warnings over an EU army, the prospects of Turkey joining and the cost of the UK's membership.

    David Cameron

In a special edition of Question Time, he said the UK would be "a quitter" if it voted to leave.

Vote Leave said the PM "just doesn't have the answers" and that people "do not believe him any more on the EU".

  6. Noah Serra-Morrison death: Grandmother heard him cry down phone

The grandmother of a baby boy who suffered a fatal head injury has told how he cried down the phone to her the night before he died.

Mother Ronnie Tayler-Morrison, 21 and her partner Hardeep Hunjan, 26, deny the murder of 13-month-old Noah Serra-Morrison in Luton on 20 November. They also deny causing or allowing the death of a child and cruelty by wilful neglect.

    Luton and Dunstable Hospital

Maria Serra, Noah's grandmother, told the jury how the last time she saw her grandson alive was two weeks before his death. He had come to stay at her home for a weekend, she told the jury.

Luton Crown Court has heard the death "could not have been an accident".

  7. Leighton Buzzard "sinkhole" probably just a hole

    Matthew Lockwood

    BBC Three Counties Radio

I've been looking into the "sinkhole" in Leighton Buzzard. Having spoken to a sinkhole expert, we might just have to settle on "hole".

    Leighton Buzzard sinkhole

Dr Clive Edmonds told me, after some research into the location, that the hole in Jupiter Drive "is not the right geology for a true sinkhole" because the earth is mudstone/clay, which is not soluble as it needs to be for a sinkhole to form.

"Looking back at old OS maps dating from 1879 reveals that the development is built over an old Brick Field that contained clay pits, ponds, kilns etc. Therefore it is possible that the hole relates to a washout of loose backfill within the old clay pits," Dr Edmonds said.

  8. Hole opens up in Leighton Buzzard

    Matthew Lockwood

    BBC Three Counties Radio

Earlier we got a message from a resident of Jupiter Drive in Leighton Buzzard who said a "sinkhole" had opened up in the green area behind their house.

I was despatched to the scene and this is what I found - it's definitely a hole.

We're in touch with Central Bedfordshire Council to find out whether they're aware of this, and what it might be!

Tattoo artist Adam Carrick said that after the impact he tried to help the bus driver. "[We] managed to pull the door open and try and rip the seat back to get the gentleman on the aisle," he said.

  12. 'Silly' cat reunited with Belgian owner after High Wycombe 'adventure'

    Helen Burchell

    BBC News

A Belgian cat which disappeared while "holidaying" in the UK has been returned to its owner after 10 months.

    Gizmo the cat

Gizmo was brought to High Wycombe temporarily from his home in Silly, Belgium, by owner Milene Letertre.

He went missing in August and despite numerous searches, the microchipped cat was not found and Miss Letertre had to return to Belgium without him.

Last week Gizmo was finally found in High Wycombe and his owner came over and took him home.

  13. Buckinghamshire accountant wins baronetcy battle

An accountant from High Wycombe has won a legal fight over a historic baronetcy in the Scottish Borders.

Murray Pringle (pictured) and businessman Simon Pringle, from near Hastings, both laid claim to the baronetcy of Pringle of Stichill in the Borders.

Judges ruled Murray Pringle was the heir to the historic Borders title

Judges heard that Charles II granted the baronetcy of Stichill - a village near Kelso - to Robert Pringle of Stichill and the "male heirs from his body" in January 1683.

Seven judges analysed evidence at hearings of the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council in London. They concluded from DNA evidence that Simon Pringle was not the "heir male" of the 1st baronet but that Murray Pringle was the grandson of the 8th baronet and was therefore entitled to succeed.

  14. Bike Week success at Hertfordshire school

    Dani Bailey

    BBC Local Live

Hands up who got their bicycle out for Bike Week last week? A few people did here at BBC Three Counties but we can safely say that pupils at Bridgewater Primary in Berkhamsted put us to shame!

Berkhamsted school children riding bikes to school

More than 200 children there took part, which is impressive in itself, but then when you find out that the school is at the top of a steep hill, it's even more so.

Year Two pupil Jessica Dixon said it was "brilliant" and said she would l be asking her mum to cycle or scoot to school "more often" - although I've a feeling she might not want to on a wet day like today, eek.

Well done all, wheelie good work (sorry, couldn't help myself).

  15. Wedding dress 'left bride with scars'

    Jonathan Vernon-Smith

    BBC Three Counties Radio

Amanda appeared on my consumer programme today and told me how her honeymoon was ruined due to a terrible mishap with her wedding dress.

The dress wasn't fitted properly around her waist, which meant it was rubbing her sides throughout her wedding day, she told me. And this was the result...

    Blisters from wedding dress

Amanda said there was a lot of back and forth in the months before her wedding to get the dress fitted properly and she had expressed her concerns.

As we work on this case, we'll bring you more. You can hear Amanda's full account of the situation here.

    Dani Bailey

    View more on twitter

Mark Lancaster, the Conservative MP for Milton Keynes North, tweeted this morning that he attended his "first same-sex marriage celebrations" on Saturday and described it as "one of the most loving" events he's been to.

"Guess I was wrong in 2013," the MP wrote. He had opposed the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Act 2013, which was passed by 400 to 175.

  19. Luton busway crash: 'I got thrown down the aisle'

    Katy Lewis

    BBC Local Live

One of those injured in a crash on the Luton busway on Saturday has been speaking of the moment the two buses collided.

Seventeen people were injured, with 15 taken to hospital .

Adam Carrick, a tattoo artist, said it all happened very suddenly.

He said: "I got thrown halfway down the aisle of the bus; got up to check everyone was all right; tried to get everybody back off the aisle because there was glass everywhere. The young lady in front of me started having an epileptic fit."
