This evening on BBC Midlands Today we'll hear about fresh hope for disabled youngster Ben Baddeley from Staffordshire over his treatment for cerebral palsy.

And we'll be seeing just what Port Vale's latest manager - their first foreign boss - Bruno Ribeiro wants to achieve with the club after being unveiled today.
Earlier in the year he had hand-delivered a letter to David Cameron and that led to a meeting today with the North Staffordshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).
Ben's mum Amy says they've agreed he'll now be assessed by a surgeon and, subject to that, the CCG said they'd meet again and do what they can for him.

A pottery firm in Stoke-on-Trent has gone into administration with the loss of all 45 jobs, the former managing director has told BBC Radio Stoke.

Hudson and Middleton was founded in 1941 and is based in the Longton area and was making bone china products.
The former MD Mike Shirley told BBC Radio Stoke that it suffered from a "lack of orders" and administrators are trying to find a buyer.

A new breed of pedigree cat, the Suffolk Chocolate kitten, has arrived in south Cheshire
Dorothy Tams from Willaston is believed to be the first and only breeder of them outside Suffolk and says they come from a mix of the breeds Havanas and Orientals.
She told me they'll soon be recognised as an official breed at competitions and that there are only currently around 150 of them alive in the world.

New bin lorries and recycling changes in Newcastle-under-Lyme

A new fleet of bin lorries has been bought by Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council.
The authority hasn't revealed their cost but says they'll be cheaper and cleaner to run and can take on recycling and food waste at the same time.
From July, the council says it is also moving from fortnightly to weekly recycling collections - and swapping bags for boxes.
Two children remain in 'critical condition' after two-car crash

Two children remain in a "critical condition" in hospital following a collision which saw two air ambulances and eight ambulances in attendance on Friday.
'Unsafe' path fears after school bus cuts

Children as young as 11 are to be left to walk nearly three miles to school along an "unsafe" disused railway line amid plans to cancel free bus passes in part of Cheshire, a head teacher says.
Cheshire East Council is to cancel passes for 171 pupils in Bollington in a move the authority said would "help tackle obesity".
The council said the route had been approved by road safety officers.
However, Emmanuel Botwe, head teacher at nearby Tytherington School, said the route was "simply not safe".
Travel: Crashes on A51 and A38 in Lichfield area

There are a couple of accidents around the Lichfield area this evening:
- The A51 Western bypass is partially blocked in both directions near the A5192 Eastern Avenue because of a crash and a fallen tree
- A lane is blocked northbound on the A38 near Lichfield in Weeford because of an accident between Weeford Island and Swinfen Island

Health officials have not ruled out helping to fund the treatment of an 11-year-old Staffordshire boy who has cerebral palsy, according to his mother.
Previously Ben Baddeley's family had to fundraise to privately pay for the Silverdale youngster's physiotherapy.
Earlier in the year he had hand-delivered a letter to David Cameron and that led to a meeting today with the North Staffordshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).
