Egypt crisis: 'Not a coup d'etat', says Amr Moussa

Amr Moussa, a leading member of the National Salvation Front opposition in Egypt, has denied that President Morsi was overthrown by a coup.

The National Salvation Front was formed late last year after deposed leader Mohammed Morsi granted himself sweeping powers in a constitutional declaration.

"This was a popular uprising, a popular revolution. In fact I can say it was a popular impeachment of the president," Mr Moussa said.

"This is not a coup d'etat."
