  3. Renewed witness appeal after fatal North Thoresby crash

    Police have renewed their appeal for witnesses after a 65-year-old cyclist died when he crashed into a stationary Mercedes parked on Ludborough Road earlier this month.

    He was airlifted to Queens Medical Centre on Friday 8 July with serious injuries and died two days later. 

    Officers are hoping to speak to a woman who was driving a small, blue car.

    The man who shot dead his partner and teenage daughter outside a leisure centre in Lincolnshire was not a licensed firearms holder.

    Charlotte Hart, 19, along with her mother Claire, 50, was killed by father Lance, 57, near the Castle Sports Complex in Spalding on Tuesday.

    He then took his own life with the shotgun he used in the killings.

    In a statement, police said the "provenance of the weapon used is an active line of inquiry".

    Officers also said they could "confirm that the deceased was not a shotgun certificate or firearms licence holder".

  6. Traffic and travel: Crash on the A180

    The Barnetby le Wold slip road on the A180 is partially blocked with very slow wedding heading westbound at Barnetby Top.

    There's been a crash involving two vehicles.

  8. First responders take to two wheels

    LIVES emergency responders are being trained to react to medical emergencies on push bikes. 

    The seven-week pilot aims to make it easier for volunteers to reach patients that are unwell in city centres or shopping centres.

  9. Man rescued by RNLI

    A man's had to be rescued from the sea- after he jumped from the old pier foundations in Skegness. 

    An RNLI lifeguard found the man was unconscious and brought him back to the beach last night- he was then taken to hospital for further treatment.

  10. Northampton University 'deeply saddened' by death of Charlotte Hart

    Charlotte Hart was studying midwifery at the university and was also a member of the lacrosse team, they've posted this message on their website.

  14. Spalding shootings: Tributes to gun victims

    A teenager killed in a shooting near a swimming pool in Lincolnshire has been described by her former school as "an exemplary student in every way".

    Charlotte Hart, 19, along with her mother Claire, 50, was shot dead by father Lance, 57, near the Castle Sports Complex in Spalding on Tuesday.

    He then used the shotgun he killed his family with to take his own life. 

  15. Man badly hurt in Grimsby attack

    The man was seriously injured in an attack on Winthorpe Road in the Nunsthorpe Estate yesterday evening. 

    Police believe a number of people may have been involved in the incident and want any witnesses to come forward.

    The 28-year-old man is in Diana Princess of Wales Hospital where his condition is described as serious, but stable.

  17. Traffic and travel: Castlegate, Grantham closed

    BBC Travel

    The road at Castlegate - has been shut between south of the Bluegate junction and north of Middlemore Yard junction because of a collapsed sewer.

    Repair works will start tomorrow by Anglian Water. 

    Motorists are being told to avoid the area if possible.

  19. Moulton church to stay open for tributes

    The BBC understands that the church in the village of the Moulton, the location of the Hart family home, will be staying open so people can light candles for the victims.

    The home on Hatt Close was raided by police yesterday shortly after the shooting.
