  12. Corbyn is 'ineffective' says Halifax MP

    Larry Budd

    Political reporter, BBC Radio Leeds

The Labour MP for Halifax, Holly Lynch, is the latest to turn on her party leader, Jeremy Corbyn.

She's been a member of his Whips office since September 2015 and had, until today, stayed tight-lipped on Mr Corbyn's leadership.

    Holly Lynch

Today, pointing to "unsustainable divisions" and an "existential threat", Ms Lynch writes: "Quite apart from his politics, Jeremy is ineffective at making the decisions and providing leadership that we so desperately need."

Owen Smith, the former shadow cabinet member, is challenging Jeremy Corbyn for the leadership - we'll know the winner by September.

  13. Watch: Halifax man to be buried alive for three days

A former drug addict has decided to bury himself alive in a large coffin in Halifax for three days to raise awareness of the dangers of addiction.

  15. Bizarre objects go on display in Leeds

If you like bizarre museum objects, then the latest exhibition at the Leeds Discovery Centre, near the Royal Armouries, could be just for you.

They're about to display a range of items that have been seized from smugglers including a ashtray, made from a crocodile. A croc-a-tray if you will.

    Crocodile

The objects are part of a collection on long-term loan from HM Revenue and Customs, and were confiscated from their owners because they breached laws around importing animal products.

The items, including a mongoose being eaten by a snake, will be used to teach visitors about animal welfare. It opens next Friday.
