Block of ice crashes to earth near Kew Gardens

A street cleaner and a pedestrian had a narrow escape when a block of ice fell from the sky on to a London road.

Footage captured by taxi firm Bloomfield Executive Cars shows the moment the sheet of ice crashed to the ground near Kew Gardens.

It is understood the ice fell from a plane as it approached Heathrow Airport on 7 February.
