Important Information for Ticket Holders

Can I give my tickets to someone else?

Tickets for the BBC Music’s Biggest Weekend are printed with the lead booker’s name on them; however tickets may be transferred to family and friends, and the lead booker does NOT need to attend the event EXCEPT in the following two cases:
a. For those who applied for tickets from Pot 1 and Pot 2, if the tickets do not arrive in the post and the customer needs to collect replacements, photo ID and proof of address will be required. This is done in order to verify their address and entitlement to local resident tickets.
b. For those who applied for Pot 3 tickets in Swansea, these tickets are paperless and the lead booker needs to attend the event, bringing ID and the card used to make the booking with them. All those in the party need to arrive together.

Do all the people in my group need to turn up at the same time?

Not usually. If you have received your tickets in the post it is perfectly ok to turn up separately from the lead booker. However, those who ordered Pot 3 tickets for Swansea (paperless tickets) and those collecting replacement tickets at any of the venues will need to arrive together.

Do I need to bring ID with me?

You MAY be asked for ID at the entrance to the event in order to verify your age. There is no age restriction to be able to attend the event; however those aged 16 and under MUST be accompanied by an adult aged 18+ in order to attend.
Acceptable forms of ID are a valid passport; valid EU photocard driving licence; a photographic ID card with the National Proof of Age Standards Scheme - PASS - hologram.
Your ID does NOT have to match the name on the ticket.

My friend has given me their ticket, but it has their name on it. Is it OK to use it?

Yes – assuming they haven’t cancelled the ticket for any reason it is perfectly ok to use it.

How can I get tickets?

The booking process for all of BBC Music’s Biggest Weekend events will be handled by Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster are the only official ticketing agent for BBC Music’s Biggest Weekend – please don’t risk buying tickets through third party websites as they do not guarantee entry.

We strongly recommend booking online where possible. A dedicated phone number is available for those without internet access, but lines can be exceptionally busy. Online systems are able to handle far more simultaneous transactions than call centres, so you stand a better chance of getting tickets this way.

Before purchasing, please ensure you read the ticketing Terms & Conditions (T&Cs).

How much are tickets to BBC Music’s Biggest Weekend?

Tickets cost £18 per person (+£4.50 booking fee) for a day ticket for one event location and you may purchase up to four tickets for each day, subject to availability.

Children aged 2 years and under do not require a ticket and will be permitted to attend for free when accompanied by an adult aged 18+. However, please bear in mind these are outdoor events, with large crowds expected which may not be suitable for children of a very young age.

For some of the locations you will also need to purchase car parking or shuttle bus tickets to get to the event – please refer to each city’s event page for further information regarding travel.

How many tickets will be made available for the BBC Music’s Biggest Weekend events?

Across the four event locations there were a total of over 175,000 tickets available to purchase:

· 20,000 per day for Perth
· 18,000 per day for Belfast
· 26,000 per day for Swansea
· 30,000 for Sunday in Coventry and 25,000 for Monday

Booking Online:

You will need a Ticketmaster account to be able to purchase tickets online. If you don’t already have an account, time will be allowed to create one as part of the booking process. Alternatively, you can set one up in advance via their website, although there is no advantage to doing this ahead of time. Should you wish to delete your account at any point, this can be done via Ticketmaster’s customer service team.

We expect that demand for some events will massively exceed supply and that tickets will go very quickly. You will receive a confirmation from Ticketmaster if you have successfully purchased a ticket.

Booking by Phone

For those without internet access, tickets are available to purchase over the phone. However we expect lines to be exceptionally busy and strongly advise booking online where possible. The number to call is 08444 539 037. Calls to this number will cost 7p per minute plus your phone company's access charge. These charges may vary and can be significantly higher for mobiles. Calls are expected to last around 5 minutes. Note: online systems are able to handle far more simultaneous transactions than call centres, so you stand a better chance of getting tickets online.

If all operators are busy, a limited number of people will be placed in a queue, with the rest hearing an engaged tone. Call charges will still apply whilst on hold. In times of highest demand, phone operators and / or networks may be unable to connect your call due to line congestion and may play you a recorded message telling you this – again a charge may apply for this.
