The woman who identifies bodies
In recent years the Kenyan security forces have cracked down on anyone they suspect of joining the terror group al Shabab, especially in the coastal area of the country. Suspects are sometimes killed in what the police say are shoot-outs, but what human rights groups say are extra-judicial killings. Most go unreported. Salma Hemed is the Gender Officer for Haki Africa, one of those human rights groups. Haki Africa condemns all extremism and they work to rehabilitate those who are willing to change.
