It's thought nearly 2,500 men are diagnosed with the disease in the East Midlands every year.

Professor Graham Pockley, from Nottingham Trent University, said the blood test "could be a game-changer for detecting other cancers".

  10. Let managers use VAR, says Magpies boss Nolan

    BBC Sport

The introduction of video assistant referees (VARs) in last week's FA Cup replays was a bit of a mixed bag, but Notts County manager Kevin Nolan supports the introduction of technology.

To help match officials, though, the Magpies boss has an innovative idea - let managers challenge big decisions.

Nolan won't get a chance to test out his theory any time soon, but he will be in charge as his second-placed side aim to bounce back from defeat against Exeter City with a win at home to Crawley Town tonight.

What it will do is tell the referee that he got something that he's seen spot on and that will give him a confidence boost, or they will go 'fair enough you have seen something different, so let's have a look at it'." from Kevin Nolan Notts County manager
