He was treated for burns at Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham, and police are now hunting for his attackers, believing up to four men could have been involved.

Blood test could help prostate cancer sufferers
Amy Harris
Reporter, BBC East Midlands Today
Researchers from Leicester and Nottingham have developed a blood test that could replace painful biopsies for men with suspected prostate cancer.
The technique could mean thousands avoiding the need for invasive procedures, allowing doctors to work on the most serious cases.
It's thought nearly 2,500 men are diagnosed with the disease in the East Midlands every year.
Professor Graham Pockley, from Nottingham Trent University, said the blood test "could be a game-changer for detecting other cancers".
The introduction of video assistant referees (VARs) in last week's FA Cup replays was a bit of a mixed bag, but Notts County manager Kevin Nolan supports the introduction of technology.
To help match officials, though, the Magpies boss has an innovative idea - let managers challenge big decisions.
Nolan won't get a chance to test out his theory any time soon, but he will be in charge as his second-placed side aim to bounce back from defeat against Exeter City with a win at home to Crawley Town tonight.
