Leicester goalscorer Youri Tielemans: "We tried to play and create chances in the first half. We were controlling the game, but they came back.

"We tried to come back with the right mentality and I think we deserved the win.

"It was difficult to change manager at the beginning of my time here, but we’re doing really well with the new manager and we keep improving.

"We have a very talented team. There are a lot of experienced players who are giving me support. It’s a good mix of young and old players.”

Huddersfield Town manager Jan Siewert speaking to BBC Match of the Day:

“Not a good feeling at all. I am sorry for everyone who came here because this is not the football I can play with this team. We were unacceptable.

“I don’t know why it is, talk to the players.

“There was no conversation. After the game I looked at the goals, saw what happened and I will talk to them tomorrow morning.

“We tried in the second half, we were closer to my football and the way I am going to play like in the Wolves game. I will fight for the club, when we had the possibility to go for the equaliser they scored and it killed the game.

“It is a difficult situation (at the club) and I knew that when I came in. I am a young manager, they haven’t scored that much this season still but we had two goals and a win against Wolves and we have to continue like that. I will still keep fighting for this club.”

Cardiff boss Neil Warnock on BBC MOTD: "There were talks about a split-camp but we saw the team spirit today. It's probably as good as we've played this season, against a good side . We played some good stuff today and an eighth clean sheet too.

"We had to stand up and be counted because nobody is going to help us. We were solid at the back and brilliant in midfield and we were a threat up front too.

"It would have been nice to have a cigar out and be 3-0 or 4-0 up at the end but we can't complain. The crowd were brilliant throughout and it made for a special afternoon.

"We said not to wait for 10 minutes to have a go - go from the off and we did. I was really pleased with that.

"Today Josh Murphy and Junior Hoilett were fantastic today defensively and attacking."

On attempting to avoid relegation: "We feel there's some more results in us and there's a few teams around us now so we have to keep getting results and keep putting pressure on them."

Huddersfield Town captain Christopher Schindler:

"We were too naive, it felt like we had a lot of possession but they had all the chances. I don’t think it is the effort missing but in important times we couldn’t stop the counter attack and were not threatening enough in their final third. It was not good enough.

"With a new manager we have a new way of playing football and with no pre-season you have no time to work on understanding each other and the runs of each other. For me it looks like we try really hard but it is not working yet how we want it to. It is difficult against a good organised team to score goals. When you struggle all the time maybe the quality is a little missing, and the composure and intelligence.

"I don’t want to blame anyone but it is hard to defend if we cannot score goals, we have to try and work on it.

"We have to take every game as it comes and try to give the fans the least they can expect of us which is to fight with togetherness, heart and character. We won’t get 200% more quality from this week to next but we can show what the club is about and where we come from. We can show what made us strong in the last two or three years. If the fans feel we can win the challenges then they won’t boo us, we have to show this and make it aggressive and uncomfortable. It was too easy for them to create chances."

Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers: "I thought we were good in the first half. The intensity in our play was good and it lead to our first goal.

"The first goal typifies the unselfishness of Jamie Vardy. He squared the ball to Tielemans when he was on the brink of 100 goals for the club – that tells you everything about the player he is.

"All of a sudden they got to 1-1 and it gives them a little bit of momentum, but huge credit to the boys [for their reaction].

"We asked them to play an intense game. There’s lots of improvements we can make with and without the ball, but it’s a good start."

On Jamie Vardy: "He’s showed over the last couple of years that he’s a world-class striker. I’m just really glad that he’s here. He’s a brilliant focal point for the team."

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe speaking to BBC Match of the Day:

“We were very good today, we had our bounce back and a lot of quality. We could have scored more but the goals we scored were of the highest quality.

“The away form was becoming something we were desperate to stop talking about and we are delighted we could do it today. The players coming back from injury helped and I was very pleased with our performance and the goals.

“Callum Wilson is a unique player, he has the ability to run in behind, he is strong, powerful, he took his goal really well, and the most impressive thing was his assist for Ryan (Fraser).

“Behind the scenes he has done a lot of work and I had no doubt he could play for a long time, but even I was surprised it was 90 minutes, but that shows how professional he is.

“We took a bit of stick against Manchester City for the way we set up but we defended well and took that into this game. There were really good signs for Chris Mepham in the future who was brilliant today.”

West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini speaking to BBC MOTD: "It was a disappointing result and performance. We need to look at what we're doing away - in our last four away games we haven't scored a goal. Today it was a very disappointing performance.

"We improved a little bit in the end of the second half and Declan [Rice] hit the post but it was not enough to win against a team fighting against relegation.

"We need to improve - we need to see what we're doing wrong away - it's unacceptable to play four games away and not score one goal."

Everton goalscorer Dominic Calvert-Lewin on Sky Sports:

"It's disappointing the game finished as it had.

"We were in control but once they scored the first goal we stopped what we were doing. That's when the leaders in the team have to step up and we didn't do that today."

Paul: Harry Kane needs to leave Spurs. They haven't won a trophy for more than a decade so if he has any real ambition he should move on. They're great to watch until the pressure is on. They won'r win the Champions League either

Cardiff goalscorer Junior Hoilett on BBC MOTD: "It was a great ball in and I was just happy to get on the end of it. It was great to score early and take some pressure off us.

"We still have eight games left so we'll be positive and work hard for the rest of the season. We have to be mentally positive and if we do that, and work hard, we'll get the results.

"We kept our shape and were compact so that helped us a lot. It was an important win."

West Ham defender Aaron Cresswell: "We didn't start well and the crowd were up for it. We knew it would be tough and it certainly was today.

"All we can do is focus on the next game and work hard. We did well towards the end but we couldn't get that goal to put them on the back foot.

"If I'm honest, they fully deserved it - we weren't good enough today."

“For anyone coming back from injury you want to make an impact and it was nice to get a goal and an assist and three points for the team.

“From past games you have confidence you will score, I will get a chance and thankfully I could be clinical and take the chance today. We let them off the hook with only scoring the two really.

“I had two or three days training this week and everyday me and Ryan (Fraser) scored, linking up with each other, so it is good to get that partnership going again.

“Our away form has been terrible, it needed to be addressed and we wanted to get the mentality right today against the bottom of the league, and thankfully we come out on top.

“When you focus on club performance, hopefully I can get the recognition internationally.”

Callum Wilson:

"As a striker when you are out injured you want to come back and make an impact on the team and I think I did that with a goal and an assist and we are back to winning ways away from home.

"It is something to build on now, we can move up the league again and it is good to get three points and that winning feeling."

On England manager Gareth Southgate watching on:

"I didn’t know but it is nice. I am focusing on my club form first and foremost and hopefully that will get recognition."

Ryan Fraser:

"When he (Callum Wilson) was injured I was saying ‘when you back, when you back’ and he would say three weeks, and then two weeks and I was thinking ‘come on’! When you play with the talent he has it brings the best out of everyone in the team. It shows he was a big miss for us.

"We knew they would have the ball and sometimes we are the best on the counter attack. We have the players to do it and today was a good team defensive performance and a clean sheet as well.

"We have always been looking up the table, our aim is to try and get seventh, we know we have hard games coming up but if we focus and work hard we can do it."

Fulham captain Tom Cairney: "We were definitely on top for most of the second half, but the second goal hurt us.

"We changed a few things at half-time, we picked up a lot of second balls and were attacking a lot more. Kasper [Schmeichel] made a great save from Mitro’s header, but it was a sloppy mistake again that cost us.

"It’s a big gap [to safety] – I think we’re just trying to get a bit of pride back at the club. It’s been a difficult season with a lot of chopping and changing and a lot of new faces."
