NATO has 'no obligation' towards Syrian Kurds
Turkish forces have reportedly captured a number of villages in north-western Syria from Syrian Kurds, on the third day of an offensive to create a 30km-deep "safe zone" along the Turkish-Syrian border. The US has supported Syrian-Kurdish forces in the region in their fight against the Islamic State group, and has voiced concern at the offensive.
