    As afternoons go that was a pretty big one for Leeds, who have given themselves a bit of much-needed daylight on the chasing pack at the top of the Championship.

    How important will this afternoon be come the end of the season? Only time will tell but that result, combined with West Brom's earlier draw against Nottingham Forest has kept the second tier summit as exciting as ever.

    West Brom were moments away from ending the day with a seven-point lead at the top of the Championship - instead they finish it four points clear.

    Leeds' win over Bristol City means they now have a three-point lead again over Fulham in third.

    • Walsall come from two goals down to beat Northampton 3-2 with Rory Holden scoring a injury-time winner for the Saddlers.
    • Second-placed Exeter City beat struggling Macclesfield Town 3-2 after throwing away a 2-0 lead.
    • Plymouth overcome Crewe Alexandra to win 2-1 at Home Park.
    • Port Vale beat Colchester United 3-0 at home while bottom side Stevenage lose to Salford City.

    • Leaders Rotherham held to 2-2 draw by AFC Wimbledon, who earn a point with Kwesi Appiah's 93rd-minute penalty.
    • Coventry are second behind Rotherham on goal difference after 2-0 win at Southend.
    • Ipswich cruise to 4-1 win over Burton; in-form Sunderland win at Oxford.
    • Wes Burns secures a fourth-straight win for Fleetwood and end Peterborough's six-match winning run.

    QPR 4-2 Stoke

    Some game at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.

    Goals from Sam Clucas and Tyrese Campbell gave Stoke a two-goal lead but a quickfire response from Jordan Hugill and Eberechi Eze leveled things up for QPR, Bright Osayi-Samuel completed the comeback and Ilias Chair added the fourth.

    Middlesbrough 0-1 Luton

    Ryan Tunnicliffe's goal was enough for Championship strugglers Luton to overcome Boro.

    That's back-to-back wins for the Hatters.

    Fulham 0-3 Barnsley

    Goals from Jacob Brown and a double from former Fulham man Cauley Woodrow gave bottom club a massive and well deserved win over Fulham at Craven Cottage.

    Charlton 0-2 Blackburn

    A fine Blackburn performance sees their fine form in the Championship continue as they move three points off the play-off places with victory against Charlton.

    A set back for promotion chasers Preston who go down to a Shaun Hutchinson goal and a spirited Millwall performance at Deepdale.

    That's Millwall's first away win in five and it's their first league double over Preston in 53 years.

    Birmingham 1-1 Brentford

    The game comes to an end at St Andrew's and Birmingham are held to a point against a Brentford side who lost Mathias Jensen early on.

    The Bees also lose ground on second-placed Leeds but did well to grind out a point.

    An afternoon to forget for Sheffield Wednesday who are well beaten by Reading.

    Goals from Yakou Meite, George Puscas and Sam Baldock earn the Royals a straightforward win over the 10-man Owls, who continue to slide down the table.

    Cardiff 2-2 Wigan

    Wigan twice took the lead through Kieffer Moore but two equalisers from Cardiff ensures both sides take a point.

    Derby 1-1 Huddersfield

    A point apiece at Pride Park. Tom Lawrence's rocket gave Derby the lead but Harry Toffolo earned Huddersfield a draw.

    Luke Ayling's first half goal against his former club moves them three points clear of third-placed Fulham.
