How Wales ended Uruguay resistance to top Pool D

Here's Wales coach Warren Gatland: "Happy with four from four but not too happy with some of tonight - poor at times and too many turnovers.

"We blew four or five chances but showed a bit of character. They're a tough outfit, tenacious and make tackles, they're a tidy little side.

"We probably didn't respect the ball enough, second half we were more direct and earned the right to play.

"Hopefully everyone will be fit and available for next week. France next week, old rivals, something to really look forward to."

Hadleigh Parkes was one of the players that you wanted to go off but he had to play the full 80 minutes because Wales were so average.

I would have kicked the ball off but the Welsh team probably felt so guilty tat being so poor, and they wanted to finish with a flourish.

In his mind (Hallam Amos') sometimes you picture yourself scoring these tries and it's never how it comes out... it's just a disaster.

Hallam Amos could have had a hat-trick on another day.

Two forward passes and this dropped ball when diving for the corner...

Wales tried to throw the ball around but passes were not sticking. Some missed opportunities were clear but it was one of those games that they are just going to have to forget.

They play France next week and they need to wrap everyone up in cotton wool and come out firing.

A bonus point win is a bonus point win and Wales top Pool D with a fourth straight victory, but this performance was not very impressive with handling errors and turnovers prevalent and scoring chances wasted.

Hallam Amos dropped that over the line from about a metre high, after a spectacular dive towards the whitewash.

Hallam Amos is in at the corner, but was that another forward pass? And did he ground it? And was he in touch?!

It all came from a superb break by Rhys Carre.

Wales made hard work of that bonus point try, but when they get it right, they look impressive. The space just opens up for Tomos Williams and it's a really important try.

It's a nice pick up from German Kessler and he gets really low. He gets right under Ross Moriarty and it's a well-worked try. Uruguay are back in this game.
