  1. 'We got into trouble after the break'

Chelsea 1-1 Eintracht Frankfurt (Chelsea win on pens)

    Chelsea

    Maurizio Sarri

Speaking to BT Sport, Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri said: "I think we played a very good first half and then we got into trouble after the break. We conceded a goal in 10 minutes of panic.

"We were better in the last part of the match but we were tired in extra time and it was difficult. We started with three injuries and picked up two more during the match after we lost Andreas Christensen and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, so it wasn't easy but we are now in the final."

On Ruben Loftus Cheek's injury: "It's not serious but he had the usual cramp after 75 minutes. There is no preparation for penalties because you can kick very well on the training ground but the pressure is different. You need a great personality so it's useless to try penalties.

"Now we need to rest. Unfortunately we have to go to the United States but we have 10 days to prepare for the final and we have to recover energy."

  2. 'Penalties are down to luck'

Chelsea 1-1 Eintracht Frankfurt (Chelsea win on pens)

    Chelsea

Kepa celebrates with the Chelsea players

Speaking to BT Sport, Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga said: "Penalties are down to luck. Today we won and in the Carabao Cup final we lost, but this is football. Today was really good and we played against a very difficult team and we are very happy.

"We always prepare for the penalty shooters before each game and today we are lucky. Wembley is in the past and I learned form it. I said I was sorry but we always keep moving forward and today was another game and we are happy to get to the final.

"Our season was a little bit difficult but we have reached two finals and we have qualified for the Champions League so I think it's a good season. Now we will have a strong London derby with Arsenal in Baku."

  3. 'I don't know if it will be my last game'

    Chelsea

    Eden Hazard

Chelsea captain Eden Hazard, speaking to BT Sport: "It was hard but when you start the game you think you can reach the final, especially when you draw the first game away.

"We played a great game but the semi-final is not so easy. We are happy and we will go to Baku to try to win the trophy.

"In the first half we were better but then like always this season we conceded after five minutes of the second half.

"It was 50-50 at the end. In the end our character was good and we go through.

"I always take my responsibility when I have to. Today we are happy but it's not finished. We have another game to play against Arsenal. We need to go there and play with quality and win the game."

Asked whether this might have been his last appearance at Stamford Bridge: "I don't think about that. I'm only thinking about winning something for this club and this squad. If it's my last game I will try to do everything for this club to win a trophy. In my mind I don't know yet [if it will be his last game]."

  4. 'Kicking off at the Bridge'

Chelsea 1-1 Eintracht Frankfurt (Chelsea win on pens)

    Karen Carney

England women's winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

The Bridge is kicking off and the fans are absolutely loving it. If you want one man to send you to a European final, it is Eden Hazard.

He stepped up and slotted it into the corner and Chelsea go to Baku.

  5. 'We can be proud of the whole club'

    Valencia 2-4 Arsenal (3-7 agg)

    Arsenal

    Unai Emery celebrates

Speaking to BT Sport, Arsenal manager Unai Emery said: "I am very proud of the players and the supporters. The players did all they could and we can be proud of the whole club."

On his past success in this tournament: "The past is for experience and can be used in the present. It is very difficult to play in finals and we took our opportunity today which we are happy about.

"We knew we had to be calm after they scored and we needed to control our emotions. It is very difficult to score four goals against this team because they are very organised. It gave us confidence to score quickly we know our strikers are taking chances."

  6. 'We have to use this opportunity'

    Valencia 2-4 Arsenal (3-7 agg)

    Arsenal

    Alexandre Lacazette

Speaking to BT Sport, Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette said: "We reacted well to going behind and we knew we had to score a minimum of one goal tonight. Auba was unbelievable tonight with an incredible hat-trick, so thanks to him.

"We have played badly in Premier League during the last month and now we have to use this opportunity. We want to play in the Champions League next season and we want the trophy."

  7. 'We have learned from last year'

    Valencia 2-4 Arsenal (3-7 agg)

    Arsenal

    Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Speaking to BT Sport, Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang said: "We have learned from last season and this year we didn't make the same mistakes. Now we are through to the final."

On his relationship with Alexandre Lacazette: "We have talked a lot about our relationship and it is a pleasure to play with him, above all when you win games like this. It is a final so it doesn't matter which team we play, we have to give everything and win."

Chris Boddy: If Chelsea and (somehow) Arsenal both finish in the top 4, who gets the Europa League winners UCL spot?

Whoever finishes third in France's Ligue 1! They'd go straight into the group stages instead of the qualifiers.

That's because France is the highest ranked league to not have all their teams qualify automatically.
