  1. Post update

Right, that's all from us tonight. I'll leave you with the report on the USA's win and see you back here for more World Cup action tomorrow!

  2. What's on tomorrow?

It's the conclusion of Groups A and B tomorrow.

First up it is Group B action as South Africa face Germany and China are up against Spain. Germany are currently top of the standings with six points while Spain and China have three. South Africa are yet to get off the mark.

Then it is Group A action as leaders France play Nigeria, who are on three points. Norway, who are also on three points, play South Korea.

  3. 'Showed their strength in depth'

    USA 3-0 Chile

    Alex Scott

    Ex-England international on BBC Two

In the first game USA laid down a marker, in this game they showed their strength in depth. Seven changes and they put in a performance like that.

  4. 'A treat for the fans'

    FT: USA 3-0 Chile

    Tom Garry

BBC Sport at Parc des Princes, Paris

This crowd have been treated to some cracking football tonight, including one of the best goalkeeping displays this tournament has ever seen.

The USA flags are all waving at the full-time whistle, as the holders' squad all gather in the centre-circle for a huddle and celebratory hugs.

Meanwhile, Chile are in a circle, applauding themselves for their defiant defending in the second half. They seem satisfied with their performance.

  5. Post update

    USA 3-0 Chile

    .

This is how it looks in Group F. The USA and Sweden are through after winning both their games so far but something will have to give next week when they face each other in a battle to finish top.

  6. 'Spectacular Endler'

    USA 3-0 Chile

    Hope Solo

Former US goalkeeper and World Cup winner

This is what you want to see, you want to see spectacular displays of female goalkeeping.

Christiane Endler is raising the bar for all goalkeepers.

  7. FULL-TIME

    USA 3-0 Chile

All over and the USA breeze into the last 16 with a comfortable win.

They will play Sweden in their final group game to determine who finishes top of Group F.

  8. Post update

    USA 3-0 Chile

Watch the below and tell me of a better save this tournament.

    I'll wait.

  9. Post update

    USA 3-0 Chile

The USA are on course to secure their passage into the last 16 having scored 16 goals without reply. However, we haven't really seen them truly tested. That will perhaps come in three days time when they play Sweden in their final group game.

  10. Post update

    USA 3-0 Chile

The 90 minutes are up and there will be five minutes of additional time to play.

  11. SUBSTITUTION

    USA 3-0 Chile

Final change for Chile as Daniela Pardo replaces Francisca Lara for the final couple of minutes.

Michael Wood: Dare I say it, but not only is Claudio Bravo the number two keeper at Manchester City, but he's number two keeper for Chile as well!

Dan Wareing: 3-0 down, but the Chile goalkeeper has been outstanding. Best saves of the tournament so far. Somehow it's not a cricket score.

  13. Post update

    USA 3-0 Chile

Allie Long hits it too long as she tries to find Mallory Pugh in the Chile box. No goals in this half but it has been a fascinating 45 minutes in a different way thanks to great saves by Christiane Endler and some controversial decisions.

    USA v Chile
  14. Post update

    USA 3-0 Chile

Five minutes to go and Chile are yet to have a shot on target.

If they fail to manage it before full time then the USA will become the third team since 2011 to not allow a shot on target in multiple Women's World Cup matches, joining France (four) and Canada (two).

  15. SUBSTITUTION

    USA 3-0 Chile

Final change for the USA as Emily Sonnett comes on for Abby Dahlkemper.

  16. MISSED PENALTY

    USA 3-0 Chile

Carli Lloyd sweeps wide from the spot!

The veteran forward looks certain to make history by completing her hat-trick but somehow fails to hit the target.

Chile would argue justice was done as the decision to award the penalty did appear very harsh.

  17. PENALTY AWARDED BY VAR

    USA 3-0 Chile

A penalty is given. There's a foul but to me it looked like it happened outside the box...

  18. VAR review

    USA 3-0 Chile

But hang on, we've got a VAR review for a possible penalty for a foul when Christen Press's free kick came in...

    USA v Chile
  19. Post update

    USA 3-0 Chile

    Tom Garry

BBC Sport at Parc des Princes, Paris

It's just been confirmed that there are 45,594 people here tonight and for the past 15 minutes it's felt like they're witnesses to a bit of a one-on-one battle between the USA's Christen Press and Chile's outstanding keeper Christiane Endler. Every time Press thinks she's scored, the PSG stopper produces another terrific save. The crowd are in awe at times.

  20. YELLOW CARD

    USA 3-0 Chile

Francisca Lara goes in the book for a foul and the USA have a free-kick 25 yards from goal. Christen Press opts to try and pick out a team-mate rather than go for goal but the ball is cleared.
