  1. Post update

OK that's it from us. Thoughts with Andre Gomes and here's hoping for a speedy recovery.

    See you later.

  2. 'It's hard to put into words'

    Everton 1-1 Tottenham

    Everton

Everton's Fabian Delph speaking to Match of the Day: "Our thoughts our with Andre, we all want to see him as soon as possible. He’s such a good guy, such a good professional. It’s hard to put into words. When it happened, it is hard to refocus. We buckled down and were desperate to get something out of the game. It was a big push. Mind is muffled, we are happy to get the point but I am not thinking of the result, we are all just thinking of Andre. It’s a difficult time for us, especially for him. We will give him all of our support."

  3. 'Everton players came to console Son'

    Everton 1-1 Tottenham

A bit more from Mauricio Pochettino, who says Everton players came to the Tottenham dressing room to give their support to Son Heung-min.

"The players from Everton came to console him," he says. " We all feel sorry for Andre in this tough moment. We want to send our best wishes.

  4. 'We are all devastated'

    Everton 1-1 Tottenham

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino: "I think Son is devastated because of the consequences. I want to send my best wishes to Gomes. What’s important now is that he recovers well. We are all devastated but of course for Everton it is devastating."

On the red card decision: "It’s not important if it was yellow or red. The decision from the referee was yellow but then I think VAR changed it. For me of course it’s unfair. He landed in a bad situation."

  5. 'You never want to see that'

    Everton 1-1 Tottenham

    Tottenham Hotspur

Dele Alli, speaking to BBC Sport: "It is difficult to see. Best wishes to the player. Son can't even pick his head up and it is sad to see, tears everywhere. Tottenham send our best to Andre Gomes. You never want to see that on any other professional.

On the VAR penalty check: "To start off with I was not concerned because I felt contact with my face and thought it would be a free kick but then when it was for handball you just hope the decision goes for you.

"VAR is a work in progress and it is obviously better when it goes for you."

  6. Post update

    Everton 1-1 Tottenham

    Everton

More from Marco Silva, speaking to Sky Sports: "We showed fantastic team spirit, really good. It was tough to play 15 minutes in a row because of many, many stops.

"The game to be the most honest we deserved a little bit more. The players reacted well to going behind and we showed that spirit to come back and score and we kept trying to score the second as well."

On VAR: "I am 100% sure what happened there with all the moments. I don't have doubts, I don't know why they have to stop and take two minutes to decide. But I think it is really tough for the referee as well.

"We have to focus on the game and we have to respect the decisions of the referee and the VAR as well."

  7. Silva's update on Gomes

    Everton 1-1 Tottenham

    Everton

Everton boss Marco Silva, speaking to Sky Sports: "Andre Gomes went to the hospital. Our medical staff is taking control of everything and soon there will be more information. We wait until it is a bit more clear.

"It is a bad moment for us as a group and as a team. It more than a football game, this is the most important thing right now. We as a group have to keep togetherness."

  8. 'It's hard to talk'

    Everton 1-1 Tottenham

    Everton

Everton's Fabian Delph struggled to talk to Sky Sports after the game: "We feel just as you can imagine. It’s difficult time for us. He is one of our brothers, someone we care about. It is difficult to put into words how we feel. As soon as we could get in touch we will send him our best. It’s difficult to see. It’s hard to talk now."

  9. 'Son is devastated'

    Everton 1-1 Tottenham

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino: We were playing well but it’s difficult to assess the last ten minutes. Talking only about football, it was a very difficult game. We were good but the game changed after the incident."

On the Gomes injury: We feel very sorry. It’s a very bad situation. It’s very bad luck how he landed. We can only send our best wishes to him. It’s not about football, it’s important that he is okay. We feel devastated, it was so, so difficult. Son is devastated. He was very confused. It was difficult to keep calm. It was no intentional. It was so, so bad luck."

On VAR: "I am disappointed with some aspects of the game. VAR must help the referee but it seems to cause more confusion. It needs reviewing. I think our referees need to go to the screen and check. At the moment I do not know if it is helping or if it causing more confusion."

  10. 'Son can't lift his head, he's crying so much'

    Everton 1-1 Tottenham

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli on Andre Gomes' injury, speaking to Sky Sports: "Didn’t want to look too much at what happened. I want to send best wishes.

"Son is devastated and in tears. It’s not his fault. Son is one of nicest people you’ve ever met. He can’t even lift his head up, he’s crying so much.

"The injury does play on your mind but you have to stay professional.

"We switched off for a second and they scored.

On the match: "We have to keep believing as a team. The quality will come through."

    Everton 1-1 Tottenham

Sarah Morgan: "I know Son had no malicious intent towards Gomes and do feel sorry for him but if he was reckless as suggested on 5 Live then surely red card was deserved. Also puts guilt on Aurier who definitely did nothing wrong when catapulted collision with him caused injury.

Khan Karn: "Best wishes on recovery for Andre Gomes but I feel for Son. That's not a red card challenge. It was an unfortunate accident that happened after. Atkinson got another decision wrong today."

  12. Premier League statement

    Everton 1-1 Tottenham

The Premier League have said: "The red card for Son was for endangering the safety of a player which happened as a consequence of his initial challenge."

  13. 'He was the cause but it was not his fault'

    Everton 1-1 Tottenham

    Pat Nevin

Former Everton and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

There should be no blame on Aurier that I can see. Son deliberately tackles him but he does not cause that. He is catapulted from that challenge onto Aurier. To blame Son and to say he did that deliberately is 100% wrong. Son is not like that, he is not that kind of guy. He does not deserve the treatment he is going to get on social media. He is devastated, he was the cause but it was not his fault. It's just one of those things that happens in football.

  14. Post update

    Everton 1-1 Tottenham

Boos ring out around Goodison, which I presume is for the officials. Another day where VAR dominates.

  15. FULL-TIME

    Everton 1-1 Tottenham

All over and the game ends all square after a drama and incident packed second half.

  16. SUBSTITUTION

    Everton 1-1 Tottenham

Ryan Sessegnon is sent on for his Tottenham debut with 60 seconds remaining.

Enough time to make an impact?

  17. Post update

    Everton 1-1 Tottenham

Davinson Sánchez is caught napping and Richalison nips in to pinch the ball. He is momentarily through on goal but then goes down. Was he clipped by Sanchez?

No foul says Martin Atkinson, VAR checks for a potential red card for Sanchez but stands by the referee's original decision to play on.

  18. GOAL - Everton 1-1 Tottenham

    Cenk Tosun

    DRAMA!

Everton look to have snatched this deep in stoppage time thanks to a bullet of a header by Cenk Tosun.

It comes from the first bit of good play by the hosts for a while as the ball is played out wide to Lucas Digne, who crosses first time and Tosun is there to head home.
