Absolute chaos! Rome E-Prix gridlocked after crash
The Rome E-Prix grinds to a halt in a chaotic start after Jose Maria Lopez clips a curb and causes a multi-car pile-up on the first lap.
How is the Championship shaping up?
As the second half of the season commences it remains
tightly congested at the top of the drivers’ Championship. BMW I Andretti’s
Antonio Felix Da Costa has a slender one-point margin over Jerome D’Ambrosio
with Jean-Eric Vergne, winner last time out in China, sitting in third.
Sam Bird’s retirement in Sanya sees the Envision Virgin
driver drop down to fourth position with season three champion Lucas Di Grassi
completing the top five. The other British representatives – Oliver Rowland,
Alexander Sims, Oliver Turvey and Gary Paffett – sit in 12th, 14th,
16th and 17th places respectively.
