  1. Post update

    That's all from me today.

You can follow Leicester v Tottenham with Michael Emons now - it's currently 0-0 after 15 minutes.

Barcelona are also in action against Espanyol, while the draw for the Women's World Cup has been made.

And don't forget to tune into BBC One at 22:20 GMT for Match of the Day.

  2. 'They are the best team in England'

    FT: Chelsea 2-0 Man City

    Chelsea

Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante speaking to BBC Match of the Day:

"It’s a good feeling. I think they are the best team in England. We did well and had to stick together to get the win.

"Sometimes, I have chances in this position to score. I reacted, got there and had a shot and I’m happy to score. Two years ago it was two goals against [Manchester] United, I keep working and have tried to give my best this season.

"It was important to react after the defeat on Wednesday. We did it the right way and we need to continue like this in the next games."

  3. 'We were exceptional'

    FT: Chelsea 2-0 Man City

    Manchester City

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola speaking to Match of the Day:

"Off day? We lost if you think that, you didn’t see the game. Chelsea are a good team, good players but in the first half it was incredible, we were exceptional.

"In general we were fantastic, I don’t have any regrets, we came and showed we wanted to win. We created chances. They had one in 44 minutes and we conceded a goal, sometimes that happens.

"You are better, you create, they cannot play like they want, they are used to having 75% possession and they could not do that, but after that at this level and in the Champions League the quality of the opponents means they only need a half a chance to score. That was the reality.

"Always we take lessons after wins or whether we lose a game."

  4. 'They are the fine margins'

    FT: Chelsea 2-0 Man City

    Manchester City

More from Stones on facing Eden Hazard as a striker: "I have played against him quite a few times over the summer and at the start of the season. Both teams tried to switch it up to try different tactics.

"As a back four, in controlling Hazard we kept them from creating a lot of chances. I don't think the ball flicked off either of us [for the corner before the second goal]. It's a difficult one for the referee. They are the fine margins in these games."

  5. 'We did everything right'

    FT: Chelsea 2-0 Man City

    Manchester City

Manchester City defender John Stones speaking to Match of the Day: "It was a typical game between two top teams. It is not easy conceding late in the first half. We were so dominant but they got one chance and scored it.

"It is frustrating but that is the reality of playing these top teams in the Premier League. We did everything right up until the last minute.

"To come here and play how we did, despite the scoreline, is never easy. We were top of the league coming into the game and everyone wants that spot. Now we have something to look back on and we will take everything out of it.

"It is never easy to digest it after the game but it is the harsh reality of the league. To be where we are - we should be proud. We should take positives into the next game. The best way to get over this is by winning the next game.

Iheanyi Uwa: You're welcome, the rest of the Premier League.

Malingur, Ahmed: Sarri ball vs tiki-taka. There is a new sheriff in town boys. Yall best get used to it!

  7. 'It's difficult to find motivation'

    FT: Chelsea 2-0 Man City

    Chelsea

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri speaking to BT Sport: "I am very happy with the win because it is not very easy to win against Manchester City or Pep Guardiola. I am happy with the mentality of the team in this match.

"It is difficult for us to find motivation but when we are, we are a very strong team. Today we played with a very good level of application, determination and the right level of aggressiveness.

"My players have to continue like this. We had some problems in the first 30 minutes because Eden Hazard played like a striker for the first time and in the defensive movement we weren't perfect.

"We started well in the second half and in the end we deserved to win. I think he [Hazard] had some problems only for the last 20 minutes. He played very well and deserved to score. I am really happy with his first match in this position.

"It is difficult to play in the defensive line when it is not working. It was working well today so it is easier for the centre-backs to play a good match.

  8. 'Everyone wants to beat us'

    FT: Chelsea 2-0 Man City

    Manchester City

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola speaking to BT Sport: "They made a movement down our left side and we could not control it. We played better than other days when we have won.

"The way we played in the first half was incredible. They had minimum chances and scored and in the second half we were there until the end.

"It is emotional for me to see these players do what they do every three days. It is the level that it is. We were outstanding except for five-eight minutes.

"We try to be champion. Everyone wants to beat us. Now it is recovery for the Champions League.

"We still have a lot of points to gain and a lot of games to play. We have to be consistent and today we were so I have no problems with that."

Ian Guy: Hopefully we now have a title race on our hands.

Karl: If anybody had said we would be top of the league by tonight when we were 1-0 down at Burnley on Wednesday. I'd have thought they'd lost their mind!

Sean: Respect to Chelsea. A BIG response after the Wolves game. They just made the Premiership title race a tad more interesting too!

  10. Post update

    FT: Chelsea 2-0 Man City

61% possession, 14 shots to Chelsea's eight and 13 corners to their one.

The stats were stacked up in City's favour but the only one that counts has a 0 next to their name and a 2 next to Chelsea's.

  11. The best of the stats

    FT: Chelsea 2-0 Man City

This was the first time this season that Manchester City have had fewer shots on target than their opponents.

Pep Guardiola has now lost three league games against Chelsea as a manager; more often than against any other opponent.

Man City have lost just four Premier League games by a 2+ goal margin before today under Pep Guardiola.

  12. Post update

"I knew Chelsea would do us a favour boss."

  13. 'City are best team in Europe'

    FT: Chelsea 2-0 Man City

    Chelsea

Chelsea defender David Luiz speaking to BT Sport: "It was a great game. I think we are playing against the best team in Europe at the moment. They have great players and are playing very well.

"We had to suffer but then we took our chance to score. It went well, our plan. We have had some bad results but tried to improve.

"All the team did great. We keep fighting but keep our feet on the ground."

Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante speaking to BT Sport: "They are a very good team. We suffered together then afterwards we didn't give up and got the two goals. We are happy with the win.

"The most important thing is to give my best on the pitch. I am happy to be on the scoresheet."

  15. 'A very un-Man City like performance'

    Chelsea 2-0 Man City

    Fred Eyre

Former Man City player on BBC Radio Manchester

David Luiz has been unbeatable at the back and managed to find time to get up the other end and score. He has been excellent and so has his defensive partner Rudiger. We didn't test Kepa throughout, we never asked them any questions and it was a very un-Man City like performance.

  16. Post update

    FT: Chelsea 2-0 Man City

It wasn't a thrilling game but it was an enthralling one. Chelsea just know how to get the job done.

Lose to Wolves on Wednesday, beat Manchester City on Saturday. Football eh?

  17. FULL-TIME

    Chelsea 2-0 Man City

Manchester City suffer their first defeat of the season. Chelsea keep their title hopes alive. And Liverpool remain top of the table.

  18. CLOSE!

    Chelsea 2-0 Man City

It's one pass too many as it's given away and Gabriel Jesus can curl it from the edge of the box. Kepa dives to his left and makes a pretty routine save.
